The role:

You’ll be responsible for translating an ambitious goal into real processes and deliverables. You’ll hire, mentor, and educate team leaders in order to develop your domain expertise and set the bar high in order to influence hundreds of thousands of merchants a day. As the R&D Director, you will have full autonomy to build multidisciplinary teams across different R&D sites and lead complex projects within the critical path of the company

Your experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as an R&D group leader with proven experience managing 1st and 2nd line managers
• Proven Software Engineering background, preferably with PHP
• Experience in managing teams across different R&D sites with an overall size exceeding 50 people
• Experience in a cloud environment & high pace development cycles
• Highly motivated and with a passion for learning new things
• Team player with the capability to utilize all resources needed to execute a job
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science is a major advantage
