Our client is one of the leading payment providers in Europe, with payment processing, acquiring, e-wallet, and issuing services worldwide. They offer a whole range of payment solutions to internet-based merchants globally, and in all sectors of the market.
They are currently expanding their team and are looking for an enthusiastic Cloud Database Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Managing several RDS Aurora clusters in a PCI-DSS level environment (service provider level 1)
• Performance & tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, and general database architecture
• Overall responsibility for technical operations and monitoring on the database layer, including extended support for critical production systems
• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.

Requirements

• 4+ years in DBA roles; 2-3 years in a cloud-based DBA role (AWS, RDS Aurora, etc);
• Experience in maintaining large, high-volume, high-availability production database clusters
• Strong skills in SQL, ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries
• Advanced knowledge in data modeling and schema design
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation - considered as an advantage;
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc - considered as an advantage
• Experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, etc - considered as an advantage
• English both written and verbal
